Happy children, exercising and having fun…that’s what dancing is to us
The Cornell School of Dance is a leading dance school based in Adel. Teaching ballet, tap and jazz from the age of two upwards, the key for us is that your child enjoys themselves.
Led by Principal Emily Cornell-Brown, Cornell School of Dance has been inspiring children since 2007. In that time, we’ve had students attain scholarships at the Royal Ballet, star in Hollywood films, but most importantly, we have had hundreds of children who developed a love of dance and made friends for life pass through our dance studios.

History
It all started when we ran a workshop one Saturday back in April 2007, from this, we enrolled our first-ever students, and the school started to grow slowly. Before we knew it, we had moved from one class in one church hall, to 15 classes across three churches.
With the school continuing to grow over the years, we made the leap to lease our own studio in 2013, making our dreams come true.
Some major renovations were undertaken, and in September 2014, we opened Studio Sixteen – the new home of the Cornell School of Dance.
We now teach over 200 children from all of north Leeds, including students from Horsforth, Adel, Cookridge, Ireland Wood, Headingley, Holt Park and West Park.
We love to teach children the magic of dance.
